How Front Runner Physio can help triathletes

Triathlon combines swimming, cycling, and running — three endurance sports with very different physical demands. This mix creates unique challenges for the body, including overuse injuries, biomechanical inefficiencies, and load-management issues.

Specialist physiotherapy helps athletes train consistently, recover effectively, and improve performance by addressing injury risk factors and tailoring treatment to each discipline.

Our physiotherapists combine clinical expertise with advanced swim, bike, and run assessments to deliver evidence-based treatment, rehabilitation, and performance programs tailored for triathletes.

Our approach

  • Diagram of a human figure with highlighted joints indicating points of articulation.

    Injury Assessment, Treatment & Rehabilitation

We take a detailed training and injury history, combined with sport-specific assessment, to guide recovery and ensure safe return across swim, bike, and run disciplines.

  • Six circles arranged in two vertical columns of three. The top and bottom circles contain an X, the middle left and bottom right contain an X, and the middle right circle contains a check mark. The X circles are outlined in green, and the check mark circle has a green outline with a green check mark inside, on a black background.

    Training Load & Technique Review

We analyse your training loads and movement patterns across all three sports, identifying risks and tailoring strategies to improve efficiency and durability.

    Strength & Conditioning Integration

Triathlon-specific strength programs target shoulders, core, hips, and legs, building resilience for long training hours and race demands.

  • Flowchart with connected circles, arrows indicating process flow, and check marks, symbolizing successful stages.
